“May, more than any other month of the year, wants us to feel most alive.”

— Fennel Hudson

Opening Note

May arrives with a quiet sense of possibility. It feels softer than the months before it, like a second chance to start fresh without the pressure of resolutions. The light lingers longer, and so do the moments that matter.

After the hectic rhythm of April, May feels like a much-needed exhale. I’m still moving through the to-do lists and deadlines, but there’s a new steadiness to it all—less frantic, more intentional. The colder days have me reaching for cosy layers and warm drinks, creating space for inward focus and creative planning.

What I loved about April, though, is how it invites softness. Even in the chaos, it offers little moments of calm and reflection—an opportunity to reset without pressure.

With this in mind, for this month’s reset, I’m sharing a curated list of media recommendations—articles, films, shows, and journal prompts—to help inspire you or bring you comfort. Whether you’re navigating a busy season or needing a moment to simply pause, I hope this selection gives you something to lean into.

If you’ve missed any of my past monthly reset posts, you can catch up here.

The rest of this post is for paid subscribers, and here’s what you can expect:

It’s $7 for the month (the price of a cup of coffee), but the knowledge you might learn might change your career, productivity and life in between for the better, just like it did for me!
