“I squat there and think about how you get trained early on as a woman to perceive how others are perceiving you, at the great expense of what you yourself are feeling about them. Sometimes you mix the two up in a terrible tangle that’s hard to unravel.”

This may contain: a crowd of people walking around a train station in black and white with an orange head

If you had asked me, back in primary school, what I envisioned for my future, I would have likely spoken of the excitement of landing a "big girl" job and embarking on grand adventures.

Now, at 25, I find myself at a crossroads, feeling somewhat stagnant, as though I should have it all figured out by now, yet still navigating the uncertain waters of self-discovery. It often feels as though I’m still in the process of learning and figuring things out, despite being "older."

Every so often, while scrolling online, I come across posts reflecting on the best advice people received in their twenties or the things they wish they'd known sooner. These insights are a source of comfort, reassuring me that I'm not alone in feeling this way—whether it's having limited dating experience, being single for over a decade, not wanting to climb the corporate ladder, or longing to move abroad again.

As an only child and the eldest daughter, it’s always been a somewhat isolating experience to navigate the world without the built-in support of older siblings.

One thing I’ve learned along the way is that no one truly knows what they’re doing—because, in reality, everyone is experiencing life for the first time. And that’s an important truth to hold onto.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to share a list of resources and advice I wish I’d known earlier in my twenties. From navigating corporate life and building passive income to general life advice, I’m also offering resources and apps that have made a genuine difference in my journey. Additionally, I’ll be recommending media worth your time and investment, hoping it may offer the same value to you.

I hope the reflections and advice I share in this newsletter feel like guidance you’d receive from an older sister or a close friend. Because I know I wish someone had shared these insights with me earlier—some lessons simply can’t be learned from a textbook.
